The journey that led me here

I entered the field of therapeutic support in my early twenties, following my own experience of addiction and recovery. The support I received during this time had a profound impact on me and inspired me to pursue a career supporting others through their own journeys of healing and change.

I began by completing a Diploma of Community Services at TAFE and went on to work for many years in drug and alcohol rehabilitation centres across NSW.

In my mid-thirties, after having my children, I returned to study and completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Gestalt Psychotherapy.

Around this time, I also began working and training at a holistic private residential rehabilitation centre in Myocum, supporting people experiencing addiction, eating disorders, anxiety, depression and a range of mental health challenges. Over the ten years I spent at the centre, I gained extensive therapeutic experience working with individuals and groups, as well as facilitating family therapy and supporting loved ones through the recovery process.

Alongside this work, I completed Level 1 training in Hakomi Therapy, a mindfulness-based somatic approach, as well as further training in Voice Dialogue, Family Constellations and Compassionate Communication.

Grief and loss have also been significant parts of my own life journey, deepening both my understanding of and connection to this area of therapeutic work. I now support clients navigating many forms of grief, loss and life transition.

My personal and professional experiences have given me a deep appreciation for the difference that compassionate, high-quality therapeutic support can make. This continues to shape and inspire the way I work with my clients.

My approach is relational, trauma-informed and grounded in somatic awareness. I aim to create a warm and supportive therapeutic relationship where people can feel safe to explore their experiences, develop greater self-understanding and move towards meaningful change.

Outside of my therapeutic work, I am a mother of two teenage children and have called the Northern Rivers home for more than 15 years.

Community Clinic

I offer Community Clinic sessions for individuals and couples in financial hardship, who may not otherwise have access to quality, holistic, trauma-informed care.

These discounted sessions are guided by the same depth, presence, and compassion as all my offerings, rooted in the ethos that healing is a collective right, not a privilege.

This initiative reflects my commitment to community care, inclusivity, and social equity, honouring the truth that wellbeing flourishes when support is shared.

If cost has been a barrier to beginning therapy, you’re warmly invited to reach out and enquire about Community Clinic availability.
